Default should I buy this?

Hey guys,

I made an introduction thread a week ago, saying that I was looking at an S4 as a daily driver/winter car. Well I spoke to my good friend at Audi, and he made a printout of my potential S4. Here are the specs

7-speed DCT transmission
Bang & Olufsen sound system
Carbon Fibre interior trim
Midnight blue on mustang brown leather
Audi sport Differential package (which includes a whole bunch of stuff, dont have the printout in front of me, just going off what I remember)
19" wheels
Audi Side Assist (whatever that is)

I think thats about it. any opinions on what I dont need/waste of money? anyone think the carbon fibre accents will clash with the mustang brown interior?

total price after taxes is ~72,000CAD.

Worth it?

$72 000 isn't exactly a great price. I think you can do better than that.

btw, I am from Vancouver B.C. Where are you from?

There's probably no way to say this without sounding like a dick, but maybe you should do some research to know what all you're getting - especially for $72k... Other than the search button here, the Audi website has explainations for all of their options... but hey, if you just wanna blindly shell out that kind of money without knowing exactly what you're getting, thats your call...

Boosted, sounds like the MSRP for a Prestige.

I'd assume it has the ADS and NAV packages too, and with the CF it's Titanuim trim pkg as well?

You should be able to get a coupla grand off the MSRP, even in Canada.

I believe there are only premium or non-premium S4's in Canada. I think Boosted is talking about the premium trim S4 without NAV or ADS but with the Sport differential.

A fully loaded S4 here in Canada is about $79 000(MSRP) with tax and PDI.... HST is $8400!! You people down in the US are so lucky.

Ditch the side assist unless you are 80 years old or don't know how to drive. :-)

Personally I think the wood trim would go better with the Mustang Brown. Course I have a Red Magma with gray birch and love it. Many would disagree. IMHO, carbon fiber is to be used to gain strength and save weight, not to be decorative. Maybe I am biased since all my carbon fiber items are bicycles! Makes sense for a bike frame. Its a structural material.

Unfortunately deals are very limited up here in Canada. I shopped WEstern Canada and was only able to get ~1500.00 off the same car he is considering. the difference in MSRP (and invoice) is ~8K for the same spec's car between Canada and the USA.

As for the package - No NAV, No ADS, No camera.

I agree with Redmagma about the Side Assist (although I might have phrased it a bit more nicely!). I don't have ADS and love my car so I don't miss it - on the other hand I've never driven with it, so who knows? Maybe I couldn't live without it if I tried it - so I guess don't try it! As far as the colors and trim, that's all personal taste, can't help you there.

Not sure about the packages anymore, what else don't you get when you don't take the nav and the camera?
