Default A slight "click" on gas pedal when starting the car slowly?

Hi,

I have an 2010 S4 automatic. 300 miles on it.

When I start to step on the gas pedal to accelearate slowly right after the engine is tarted, I notice/feel a very subtle "click" from the gas pedal. Right after that click, doors are locked by the auto door lock feature.

I tried to lock the door before stepping on the gas pedal. It still has that little "click".

Has anyone experienced the same?

Thanks!

I do. I brought it in to the dealer, and they said they received a lot of complaints about this, especially in the S5 more than the s4. He said no official word yet from Audi, but it seems to be more annoyance than actual engine problem. This dealer is pretty good, so I'm take them at their word for now

Mine does that from time to time. It seems to happen most frequently in low traction situations (e.g. rain or snow).

I wanted to bring it up, but didn't know how to explain it

but mine goes 'cl-cl-cl-cl-cl---click!'

Thanks all. I guess I'll drive a little more to see if the problem persists. I might bring it back and see what they say if it does.

I am at 3400 KM, still get the click. Got it again the morning as I pull out from my parking spot and drive out of the garage.

Search is my friend. Resurrecting this thread to see if anyone has gotten resolution over this issue.

I'm at 3,800 miles and have been noticing it every time I get in the car.

Did anyone get it resolved and how? Planning to bring it up with my dealer when I bring it in for 5K service in a month or two...

Hi there, New to AW but thought that I'd contribute in a way.

In our Acura's and BMW, we've been told that it's the initialization of the Traction control systems...different feel in different cars...Acura, we can feel it through the shifter, the BMW, we can feel it in the floor board/firewall...faint, but there. We just learnt to ignore it and the cars have been fine for 4 years.
