Default So this is the interior we are getting then?

According to 2013 S4 order guide three-spoke flat bottomed steering wheel is standard and stainless steel mesh inlays with piano black center console and instrumentpanel surround is option 5MZ.

If so thank you lord for answering my prayers

In the US yes it's possible to get that. In Canada no. The Canadian order guide doesn't have the stainless steel mesh inlays as an option.

Like Stereodude said, you can only get the piano black gauge surround if you get the stainless steel inlay option. Will be interesting to see if that piece can be retrofitted to the earlier cars. The gauge cluster shape looks slightly different, so not sure.

Now here is where it gets interesting. Since there is now a piano black instrument panel trim in US models, you can just go to you local Audi dealer and order the piano black trim part and replace the silver, instead of have yours painted like I did. You could even have the Audi tech do the replacement if you don't want to fool with it yourself. Probably not cost effective.

It looks like the instrument surround is just 1 piece instead of 2 pieces now. I don't think it will be a direct fit, but would be pleasantly surprised if it was

Piano black...... or carbon fiber

Such a difficult decision.

The piece behind it that it snaps into looks to be the same part according to ETKA. So it should fit that part, but the cluster might be slightly different due to the surround being a single piece. Won't be cheap either, I looked up the part number on ECS's website and it was $602.

$602 just for the piano black surround piece around the cluster / MMI display?

I'd like the cluster / MMI display surround piece to be piano black, but CF everywhere else. I definitely don't want a piano black piece around the shifter / MMI controls where it will get scratches somewhat easily from abrasion.
