Are there potential warranty issues if you go straight to giac for the tune? If they're making it for stasis that seems weird.

Probably because the warranty arrangement is between Audi and Stasis not directly with GIAC. It wouldn't surprise me if their isn't an additional contract between Stasis and GIAC that the Stasis consumer wouldn't even know or care about.

Spoke to Stasis today and the ECU tune will be done at the dealer with a flash drive - 1hr process, as opposed to taking the ECU out and sending to Stasis.

They expect to have it in "soon" - my guess is late July/ early August.

I really wonder how much better this ECU tune will make the S4. My 335i coupe had a tune from Dinan and it really gave a kick to the car. The S4 as it is in stock form is a nice car. However, I feel its missing a bit more grunt.

What do you guys think?

For $1,500 with warranty its a no brainer... Chris, who does east coast sales for Stasis said the difference is quite noticable at all RPM levels.

Again, without the warranty I would not be doing this.. .and I probably don't need it.... but hey, why not
