Stereo turns on automatically - normal?

Stereo turns on automatically - normal?
I don't know if this is normal but everytime I turn on the engine the stereo turns on to what I was listening last. I intentionally turned off the stereo before I turned the engine off. I can understand it if I didn't turn the stereo off before I turned the engine off. But after I turned the stereo off it still turns on automatically? Weird.

Nothing is wrong with your stereo. This is a "feature" of the 3G MMI on the B8. You have to turn off the entire MMI to prevent the stereo from automatically turning on the next time the car is started.

The phone will remain attached to the Vehicle's Bluetooth system. You just can't use the MMI phone features/buttons but it will remain operational (receiving and calling out) through the phone.
