Default Is there a way to make the fog lights come one in auto mode?

I find it very annoying that I have to press the fog button every time I use my lights. Has anyone figured out how to make the fogs come on automatically with the head lights, I looked through all the vag com mods and didn't see anything. So far this is my only complaint with with the vehicle after a month of ownership.

If you want fogs on all the time I think the only way I can think of is to specify your fogs as your DRL's. With the VCDS go to (09-cent. elect.), (07-coding), long coding helper, Byte 2, enable bit 3 (DRL via fogs).

Interesting as some states in the lower 48 will ticket you if you are using fog lamps when there is no fog. I believe Mass is one iirc.

Unless you live somewhere where there is permanent fog, then there is no need for such a modification.

In clear conditions, fog lights can impair your vision and that of those around you.

Some of us have a personal preference (since we NEVER see fog in our areas)
to have the additional lite on the road and side road ....

and in the last 10 vehicles I;ve had, they've never impaired mine or anyone else vision

You don't know that unless you actually ask every other driver that you saw driving on opposite lane

And I might have a personal preference to drive along with my hazard lights on, so I can 'get down with the beat'. Doesn't make it acceptable though.

+1 the only time peoples lights bother me is when they have the fake HID's in or they have high beams on, and this is after having super sensitive eyes to lighta at night because of LASIK
