I have a large dog that I want to put in my back seat a lot for rides to the beach, dog parks, etc....do you think this would adequately protect my leather/alcanatara back seats?

I did research the Audi-branded cover; some user reviews advised that it looks great, but slipped off the seats whenever the pet moved...and my dog likes to roam around back there ;-)

I have this one from Orvis. It is awesome. Seriously, I love it and my dog does too. I had it in my Allroad and it is now in my S4. I have a 37lb 1 year old chocolate lab. It works perfect. I have had her in there completely covered in muddy water from jumping in puddles on hikes. The cover removes in a minute and comes out of the wash looking brand new. No water got through to the seats either when she has been soaked. The bottom is cushioned and Maddie loves taking a nap after a long hike. Oh, and the slate matches the black Alcantara very very well. When you look in the window from the outside you would be hard pressed to tell a seat cover was on there if it wasn't for the Orvis emblem.

It's better because it isolates the dog to the back seat and covers everything, including the front armrest and front seatbacks. The dog can't get to the front. It fits perfectly. Whereas the Audi cover is just that, a seat cover that probably will slip off and allow Fido to visit you up front or slobber over the front seats. And it's a lot more expensive.
