Default Time deadline for Audicare?

I only have 8K miles on my S4 since my 1 year of owning it so far. So, does audicare have a time deadline on when it ends or does it go by mileage only?

I believe you have to purchase it on or before your free 5K mile service (or 6 months).

That's what I thought, too. Over the past week or so I've been getting email solitications from them suggesting I buy it. I'm beyond 6 months, the car has 9k miles and 5k mile service was done at the dealer during the summer. I can't find any restrictions disclosed in their notes.

In Canada you can buy it up to 1 year/20k km of the vehicle purchase date. I got in with 1 day to spare. I'd be surprised if it isn't the same stateside.

i already purchased Audicare when i bought my car in December 2010. Since my car is "low miles" i'm wondering if i need to use up the services before some sort of expiration date?

A bit off-topic, but how much should this cost for a new S4 in the US?

Yes you do, it's 10K miles or 1 year, whichever comes first (after the 6 months/5K free service).

I have 25K on mine and it would have been 2 o 12/22 but I just got my service performed. I have been doing vanpool a lot so the 14K miles a year average I did year 1 is dropping, and I will likely have to do my 35K service by 12/22 next year, there is no way I will have that much mileage on it.

I didn't purchase the plan because didn't seem to make sense.

If you read it says check , check , check not that the fix was included. I think they wanted 1600 for 5 oil changes?

come on

It's actually only 4 oil changes (15, 25, 35, 45) with the standard AudiCare package. But they are full inspections of the car that take some time to perform. It also includes at least 1 air filter change, 1 dust & pollen filter change and 2 brake flushes.

A good value for me - for $600 in in 2009 dollars (Q5) and $750 in 2011 dollars (S5)

I agree, rarely are the inflated dealer prices worth the money as long as you have a good mechanic you can use, the service for the first 4 years should be well under $1000. I have a great, honest mechanic who has been working on my old A6 for 11 years. I only use the dealer for warranty work. Most of the Audi care work is "inspection".
