Hey guys, I received a quote from Tint world in Raleigh, NC for tint and ventureshield clear bra(Full hood, fenders, bumper) and mirrors, and this is the response i received below. This quote seems majorly inflatted, can I get some confirmation and what I should expect to pay.

""Ty, using my best film on your car is regularly 350.00 that i can give you for 300.00!! clear bra is another story as tint takes 2 hours clear bra can take all day!! if not a day and a half... you could be looking at 2000.00 for full hood bumper fenders headlights and mirrors... you would definately need to drop the car one day and pick up the next... so you need one of your buddies to follow you and bring you back... call randy for details""

Tint price is about right (maybe a little high), venture shield seems high. I got tint and Clear Shield (looks like same coverage as your quote) for around 1400.

I got full clear bra and tint. My guy charged $1700 and took 12 hours to complete. If i had to do it again, i would do the tint and bra on seperate days so you don't rush the installer.

I had the window tint & PPF installed on different days. The tint was $500. the full front end PPF (Ventureshield) was $1200 (some places are a lot more). You don't want to rush the installer on something like this. It is like rushing artwork.

Pricing mainly depends on your location & local labor rates.

Sounds like your guy isn't interested in the PPF job.

Tint price seems a little high too. I went with Formula 1 ceramic tint on mine for less than $300 CDN. (and stuff up here normally costs more!)

I got a price of $400 for a tint with Formula One Ceramic and $875 for a full hood Venturshield application. That's here in Atlanta.

Labor is generally lower in Atlanta, than in Silicon Valley.

The lowest this individual said they would go is $1800. Guess I will see if i can find a lower price. I will also, like recommended, just do the clear bra first and later do the tint.

Write the guy back and inform him that you're going to get a couple of other estimates. His price may drop a bit more.

I am paying 286 for tint and 1400 for clear bra here in Pa from a reputable company. I would keep searching. Sounds like your quotes are so high that he doesn't want to do it and is only willing if you pay that much. as well he probably won't do as good of a job if he doesn't even want to do it in the first place.
