Default Took the Leap!

Ordered today

2011 S4 Prestige S-Tronic with a June delivery
Quarts Grey Metallic
Black/Black Leather/Alcantara
Sport Rear Differential
Adaptive Cruise
Audi Side Assist
Grey Birch Wood Inlay

$55,659.00

Still not 100% on the interior choice yet. Hard to decide between the birch and carbon fiber. Also between all black or black/silver. I like the look of the black/silver I just worry it will show dirt easily.

Also might change the order over to a 2012 when it gets closer to production time depending on if I feel like waiting till September for delivery.

Uh...you ordered a car today for delivery in June of next year? How does that work? Orders only take 90 - 115 days tops.

I'm deployed to Iraq and using military sales. I can choose any delivery time I want. Production wouldn't actaully be till Feb.

I went back and forth on the silver inserts or not. Ultimately decided on no. They are more towards white than anything I would persoanlly call silver. It looks more like the Ecru I had in my B5 A4 to me.

I also happened to find some random picture of that interior on quartz gray where you can see the painted door surround relative to the interior . It was not pretty IMO. I personally found it to clash really bad. Even though you really don't see the interior relative to the outside from the drivers seat, I just could not have lived with that in my mind. So black alcantara it was. My car is quartz gray as well.

Thanks for the info. I guess now it's down to the birch or carbon. I think woods makes it look more luxury and the carbon more sport. The car is a bit of both so which way to go?

If I would have ordered a car, and not picked up the one on the lot, I would have not added any of the optional trims. Based on pictures, I think the regular aluminum trim provides a nice contrast against the all black interior. I don't know if it would clash with some of the other aluminum/chrome like surfaces though. I'm not a fan of any kind of wood in cars, unless it's stained black or close to black.

You can get wood trim in just about any car, I say go with CF Who knows, maybe by 2012 Audi will take their heads out of their asses and make the instrument panel piece CF as well!

Delivery of 2011's started July of 2010 this year (picked mine up July 22). So you might not have to wait until September unless you want to.
