Default Hope You Guys Can Help...Mine was the "Rear-Ender"!

I don't have pictures yet, but I rear-ended someone in my 2007 A6 and both the front and side airbags deployed...the radiator was smashed and drained...front end was smashed in to just about the radiator...hood probably needs to be replaced...and both the driver and passenger doors "grind" when opened indicating the amount the front was impacted. So my question is whether it's totaled. In North Carolina it's 75% of the value of the car, which is probably around $20-22k....so I know it's hard to guesstimate, but does all that sound like more than $15-16k worth of damage?? I'm freaking out b/c the Ins. Co is taking their sweet time and I really don't want the car back after all that damage. I'm hoping I can get $20k out of a total loss and buy a newer A6. Btw - dumb a** me wasn't wearing my seatbelt...thank God and Audi engineering for saving my life!! Thanks All!

Depends, they will total it if the cost to fix it outwieghs "fair market value" which has to take into consideration the drop in the car's value since it will have been wrecked (this takes value off the top).

Seinsmeld is an adjuster in Canada, I'll be he has some good insight.

Does that depreciation waiver something to do with Canada or is that also available in the US? Do I need to sign up for it with my insurance company?

Not even close, make sure you get loss of use and Diminished value. The insurance will give you some BS that they don't pay this. Don't settle and go to court if you have to.
Just noticed you are in Canada, Oh well didn't you say your neck hurt?
