Ok, did a bunch of Vag-Com mods
Disable NAV & Phone warning messages while entering data
Enable Remote Operation Windows and Sunroof
Enable Automatic Gear selection shown in DIS
Disable "Lights are on" Warning
Set ADS to Individual
Disable amber corner lights
Enable fog lamp to come on for the same side as that turn signal
Enable Independent Fogs control with high beams
Havent done the following as i'm not sure what they do...so looking for any inputs:
Enable Lap Timer
Can anyone add a bit more to how this works – e.g. is it a
menu option or a mode in DIS??
Adjust LED brightness
Confirm this just increases the Intensity for the DRL’s?
(assuming set on LEDs)
Enable VIM on MMI
How do you reset MMI afterward? and does that jack anything
else up?
Thx

@jgiachino,
zulujams gave me a few links that were very useful and I'll add a couple of my own for you =) Let me know if you need a hand.
You'll want to enable the hidden menu before you start any of your mods. I found this made life easier =)

I also disabled amber side markers. Curious: anyone know if those markers are required to pass US inspection? How about Canadian inspections for our friends to the north? I will likely just enable them before I go in for a sticker, or maybe even before I go in for any service. I could tell the service advisor to ignore the 'failing' lights, but I could see a tech going after them anyway and charging me to swap bulbs or something to that effect. For those who don't have your own cable, you may want to keep these marker lights enabled based on any responses we get to the question on inspection criteria.

Wow, they tell you in advance up there? Efficient! Here in MA, we need to remember to get the inspection ourselves. It's easier and cheaper for the gov't to make us take care of it and then they can pull some of us over and issue tickets for expired stickers. They do remind us by mail for registration renewals. They used to mail reminders for licenses but to save money they stopped that (but did allow free signup for reminders via email).
I don't have a pic yet with the ambers shut off. I can do that soon, hopefully in a variety of lighting. Do you have amber colored side markers up there or the blacked out type I've seen in Europe? Some drivers are converting their light units over to Euro style ones or modifying the US (North American?) ones.

@zulujams all the headlights I've seen on an A4/S4 have the amber side markers.. I've debated shutting them off... might try it this weekend when I play with the LED brightness =)

I don't know about inspection, but they are apparently required to be there by the DOT since 1969. Link to Report
