Jeez, always have a comment for me don't you? Once again, incorrect. 'Instant On' refers to an LEO leaving his radar (any type of gun) in Standby until seeing a speeder then turning it on to get a reading. It is a *tactic*, not a type of radar, and says nothing about how long it takes to get a reading once turned on. It will most definitely take longer than 67ms for a conventional traffic radar system. Once again, POP is a *type* of radar manufactured by Bee Industries as listed above. It operates in the K band and was specifically developed to get an approximate speed reading in 67ms or 16ms, depending on the generation.

In my book and in the LEO's and manufacturers books that's a significant difference. Again Bruce, if you educate yourself vs. popping off about subjects you think you know about because of your MSEE degree you won't sound as dumb. As a fighter pilot I think I have some pretty practical experience using radar detection and countermeasure devices.

Default Valentine 1 to Nokia mobile via bluetooth

Hi everybody

I see alot of you searching for a place to install the remote display, So i decide to build an electronic project to send the data of valentine 1 to Nokia mobile via bluetooth.
In this case you can put valentine 1 at any place in the car and connect my device with 12v source to it and you can see all data of V1 in your mobile with bluetooth.
Do you find this interesting and worth to build ????

Absolutely and would be even better if you could do it for Android or iPhone and/or for Belscort detectors

Actually iphone has a product called "Radar Active", i am looking for a software in python ( Nokia symbian ) but i think i can do it in java too.
I didn't work before with Android but i think it can be done easier than java because it is linux.
Right now i success in acquiring V1 data to microcontroller, 2nd step is bluetooth module.
Hey do u think that will work!!!

How about if i turn Valentine one to be like escort passport by using built-in GPS in Nokia mobile ( Symbian operating sytem )
so when u reach near a bank with a door opener ( k band ) it will ignore it and mute for about 100m before and after the bank's door.

This can be done too, but just in Symbian mobiles ( may be later i can do it in android )

If you could do that and somehow sync it up with Trapster or the Escort GPS database files, you'd possibly have the holy grail of radar detectors. I'd be willing to pay good money for that on Android.

I used Trapster before and i really like it, but i don't know what the benefit from syncing it with my project, please explain me what you want exactly from the programe to do in this point.
i will move on in my project in python (symbian mobile) first, then i will try to write another software in android and java.
I really wants your suggestions in this project.

The price will be about 75$

PROGRESS:-
*The bluetooth module is shipped and will be arrived in 10 days.
*Finish the software of microcontroller.
*Finish most of python software in symbian mobile.

The reason I'd want Trapster or some other database would be to have an updateable and current list of red light cameras, speed traps, etc. to get alerts for that I might not have programmed in myself. With the 9500ix, Escort has their own database that they put out weekly updates for. It's really handy.

Really, the holy grail of windshield-mounted detectors at this point would be a detector with the V1's arrows, V1 or Redline range & sensitivity, and the 9500ix's GPS filtering and alert capabilities. What you're talking about sounds like it would go a long way toward accomplishing it.

Default "V1 Bluetooth" >>> Dream will come true

Sorry for late but i was so busy to finish some work, About my project "V1 Bluetooth" and syncing it with trapster or escort 9500 radar positions' files, i have a view to do this job.

I will use 2 text files; one for Radar coordinates, the mobile will give a special ring when arrive near one of them,
and another file for banks' automatic doors the Valentine one will turn to mute state ( X and K only will use the 2nd volume ).

And at any time you can add the current position to any of the 2 files by pressing a button in your mobile.

It is easy to convert trapster file from an extension to another by many ways, but about escort i don't see their file yet.

PROGESS:-
* Still waiting to get the bluetooth module.
* Mobile Software still under developing.

Default V1BlueShark

If you got Valentine One and get nervous from false alarms, Do you compare V1 with Ecort 9500 with GPS............... V1BlueShark is almost done................, Bluetooth works nice with my Nokia N78 , You can add unlimited number of POIs
( Radar or Mute) easily by importing a file to mobile.
You can get from Trapster web site this file contained all places of radars.
You can use V1BlueShark without GPS built-in but in this case you will loose some options, By the time you can also use V1BlueShark without Valentine One (but with built-in GPS) to know the places of radar from file.
The Surprise is the price *** 75$ ***
Now in Nokia Symbian mobiles but soon will be in android cells too.
A website will be published soon containing pics and video.
