Default Wait times for 2010 S4 orders?

So I've been fortunate enough to put my self in a position to buy a new car and I'm extremely interested in the 2010 S4. I currently drive a B5 A4 and have been waiting for awhile now to upgrade.

Anyways, my question is for those of you who have put in an order, or have just recently placed an order. About how long is the wait time? Are most dealer allocations filled for the next few/several months? And lastly, were you able to negotiate on the price at all considering this car is completely fresh?

Thanks for your time, feels good to be back on the Audiworld Forums!

I placed my order on 19 Aug and was told to expect delivery 'sometime in November'. That was my dealer's last allocation for the month. That may be the biggest obstacle you'll have - many dealers have either already sold their allocations or don't have any to give at all.

I was able to negotiate $500 off MSRP. I've heard of a bit more and I've heard none at all. I was a new buyer to that dealer and walked in knowing I'd pay sticker.

i missed the first allocation and they are saying "sometime in Dec" for mine. I managed to get $750 off (not a huge deal but takes care of the Audi Care!)

I ordered on 8/8 and expect delivery late September. $740 off MSRP (or Audi care). This is my second car from this dealership.

A friend went to check one out here in Vancouver and was told it wsa 5 to 6 months. Not sure how accurate that really is or if the dealer was just trying to move him off the fence.

I ordered a car to my spec when the dealer I was working with contacted me to let me know they had two allocations.
I ordered on 7/23 and I was told on Monday that I can expect to take delivery during the week of Nov 9th.

So just shy of 4 months, 109-113 Days give or take

I placed my order back in 5/2, my dealer told me that my car should be here by 9/21.

On a side note, I've searched all over Audi USA website, but I don't see any info regarding Audi Care. Is this like a maintenance program?

Thanks for the info everyone. Seems like its sort of all around the board depending on where one lives. I'm in Northern California, so I'm hoping there will be plenty of allocation spots up here.

I'm glad you can get some sort of discount on these cars. I was fully expecting MSRP no matter what.

Yes, it's a maintenance program. They don't make it easy to find on the Audi site. Here's the link:

Audi Care

List price for Audi Care is $740. Some folks get it included as part of their dealer negotiations.

Order officially placed on 8/3 (though I committed on 7/31) and is still in the hopper. Expecting delivery second week of November, but not confirmed until the factory schedules it. This is the seventh Audi I've bought from this dealer, including a Q5 for my wife 3 months ago. I got $1,500 off, plus whatever incentives Audi offer at the time of delivery for loyal owners.
