Mine was in the VIN range so I just took it in. It never failed. They fixed it the same day. No issues.

Default Mine failed yesterday....

Car was towed to dealer. It was built Oct 2009...9,500 miles. Dealer said they repaired 3 yesterday. I won't pick it up until tomorrow or the next day so don't have a receipt with codes.

With Dr Volkl's vote change...we are running a 30.6% failure rate on manufacturing dates on/before February.

Do you the folks from AoA who frequent this forum find this failure rate interesting?

I had an Acadia a couple years ago and there were 3 GM representatives who were active members on the forum. One from their customer relations area and 2 from the engineering team who developed the vehicle. They brought in a third engineer who worked on tuning the engine/tranny who took valuable input from the forum and they released a new engine tune/tranny shift SW update based on this feedback.

I'm sure someone from AoA visits this forum...so far I don't know who they are or if they would be open to addressing this water pump with us in public.

Yes...that's an offer AoA.

I'll put money on the chance that I'm not the only person who will be changing their answer.

I heard the new Saab 9-3 is going to have a Turbo BMW engine with AWD... Hmmmm...

Ugh - hit the wrong voting button.

Build date = 11/09
I have the old / plastic water pump.
At 6700 miles, has NOT failed yet.
