Thanks for taking that pic. Its hard to tell in my dimly lit garage corner if i got the aluminum one. I"ll take a pic of mine when i'm at work tommorow.

thanks, but I did not take that pic. it came from someone else here. I did verify mine looks like that though after being replaced.

Are you sure that's the new pump? I have a Nov '09 build and it's half plastic / half metal like the one shown in your picture. I thought the new ones were all metal?

Sorry but as I thought, hopefully your replaced pump isn't half plastic / half metal (with the yellow writing on the plastic) as that's the old one. The new one should be all metal. See post 364 in the attached which has good pics of both.

No, it shouldn't. My '10 isn't affected either (May build). March was the transition month from plastic to metal pumps.

That pic Bruce posted is an OLD plastic one. The black area is the plastic, the metal is the engine block where the pump mates to the block.
