i think the rebuttal is gonna be, the heat and humidity, and the fact that the car is obviously making alot more than advertised stock. but 15whp over stock? the tune is a joke........
either way, i would have waited for the big 3 to come out with a tune before dropping 3-4k for an unknown unproven tune, and a piggy back tune at that.

I disagree again. I think something wrong with the install or setup, expect 50-60 WHP.. When they sort this out you can buy me a beer ![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
By the way, I am not a MTM supporter, only think that until we figure out what caused this, jerking around on one install is premature. MTM has been around a long time and has a very good track record. I will likely run either APR or GIAC (have run both of those before). ASP, EPL, Revo have some good stuff as well.

All I can say is having run a piggy back system on my other supercharged car I will never run that route again.
You can keep trying to fool the stock ECU, but sooner or later you'll **** it off... and I can only imagine a 2010 S4 is a hell of a lot harder to fool than my 2003 NSX was.
Any stand alone is always going to be better.... there's just no way around it. MTM came out with their system so soon that I wouldn't doubt that they missed a lot of factors. Who knows, maybe 75% of the time it works and 25% of the time you're better off stock... which is perhaps what we're seeing here. The temp, humidity, air flow, etc etc... who knows... maybe the damn car knew it was on a dyno, I have no idea... but it MTM probably didn't R&D every situation.
If a ECU feels like it's being F-ed with, it will F you back. (in not so many words).

Just a thought...
I certainly would hope someone from MTM would start defending themselves, hopefully on both Audiworld and Audizine. Otherwise...I'm guessing they are not going to be selling any 'upgrades' for our beloved S4's.

well that's a big let down - especially if you spent the coin. I find it hard to believe it's installed incorrectly - but I agree with Bruce that the chip could be defective. regardless - it sucks for that guy.
I don't think MTM has ever shown their heads on these forums have they?
