Wheel touch up?

My winters got a few scratches in shipment (FedEx has of course denied the claim). Has anyone had any experience with this product? Can you just mask the tires or do they have to come off? The wheels are OEM 18's. Seems like a reasonable price if the results are decent ($40).

The Wurth paint and clear coat really is the best available. And you can mask the tire and surrounding area, although removing the wheel from the car is easier (you need not demount the tire, but of course again do have to mask it).
Prep is straightforward, whether only sanding or having to also fill. Remember that preparation is the most important process to any painting project - resist the urge to paint until it's perfectly prepped.
However, it's very difficult to feather the paint edges so they blend seamlessly from new to old paint. This is where professional expertize comes to bear.
Of course if you're respraying the entire wheel it's much easier.

Thanks! Looks easy enough although I don't have the courage you do to spray it on the car. With my painting skills I need to be at least 50 yards away.
B8 guys- do I need any kind of "jack-pad" adapter like previous Audi's or am I okay with a basic floor jack? I'd go outside and look but it's not here yet...

It's a good idea to have a jack pad adapter such as http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=833
to protect the uni-body side jack points. Just get the diameter size that matches your jack's base pad.

In my experience, the Wurth paint that I used when I repaired my Avus wheels on my B6 S4 was not a great match. It was just OK, But I subsequently used EinsZett Silber paint(which is formulated specifically for wheels) and felt it was a very good match. Much better than the Wurth. http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einszett-...eel-paint.html
