Default Winter wheels

Hey, I was thinking of getting VMR 708 or VMR 710 18" wheels with the Dunlop Sport 3D tires as my winter set. this is my first time buying a separate set of winter wheels... thoughts?

I agree with Bruce...I am running a similar set up with Hartmann HR8 and Dunlop Winter Sport M3.

I see that Tire Rack has some good packages for the S4 but they all mention needing to use hub centering rings. I had a set of these for my old 2000 A4 and they were terrible (never got good balance and I had to use a chisel to get the rings off after driving with them for the winter). Are there hub centric rims available that don't require the use of hub rings or adapters?

I just got a set of 18" VMR 708's with 245/40 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D's in preparation for receiving my S4 in early January (I hope). The VMR's are already sized to the required 66.6mm and don't require centering rings.

Several of the aftermarket wheels Achtuning sells are hubcentric with the B8 S4. I've got 9-spokes with winter tires sitting at the dealers waiting for my car to arrive (see my sig.).
