Default Cam solenoid location

Hi, I have a 2019 s4. I'm getting a p0024 code all the time and occasionally get a p0023. Car is currently in limp mode. It drives fine, just no boost.

I was told my problem is the camshaft solenoid. I've been looking for parts and Audi seems to have all different part numbers for the cam solenoid.

So two questions. First, does anyone know what part is needed and two where is it located. There are two magnet sensors on back of heads. Then I see another towards front of engine in valve cover.

So I'm looking for the cam solenoid, not the cam position sensor.

I believe it looks like this.

P0023 and P0024 refer to the bank2 exhaust cam VVT operation, which is the N319 solenoid.

Thanks smac. So, I actually already have the N319 magnet. From the post you linked, it says the solenoid controlled by oil is actually 26, but I don't know what that is referencing.

here is what I referring to.
---‐---------------------------------------------------------------------
The solenoid that actuates the control valve is item 27, 06M109259M, now 06M109259P: https://parts.audiusa.com/p/78749463/06M109259M.html
The control valve itself with the oil passages is item 26.
--------------------------‐-------------------------------------‐---------

Would you happen to know what 26 is? I was thinking the oil solenoid might be under the N319 magnet actuator which I already have. I was going to replace both. I just didnt want to start pullimg things off the car without having a plan.

Thanks again for your reply. You habe me closer then anyone so far. These emgines are.just so new there isnt much info on it.

Correct, from the parts catalog, you see there's three components involved on each cam. The actual vane adjuster unit (23,24), the control valve (26) that flows oil to the adjuster unit based on the actuation by the solenoid, and the solenoid itself (27) which is the electronic device that the ECM actuates. Don't refer to the control valve as a solenoid (a coil of wire usually in cylindrical form that when carrying a current acts like a magnet). Some Audi materials will call the solenoids "camshaft adjustment valves", but they are no longer a one piece design in the EA839 V6, as they were in the EA837 V6. The VVT of the EA839 is diagrammed on page 16 of SSP 655 (google search Audi SSP 655). The control valve (item 26) is in the upper image. The control valve installed into the vane adjuster and the "camshaft adjustment valve" (solenoid) are shown in the middle image.
