Concerning your 2011 S4 (which is a B8, not a B9)......Does it only do this when the car is fully warmed up?
If so:
Sounds like the gasket plate between the two halves of the bottom section of the Mechatronics unit needs to be replaced.
Valve body separator plate 0B5 DL501 (maktrans.net)
The Mechatronics unit can be pulled out of the transmission from below, the transmission does not need to be removed to do this.
