Default Intake air system leak and hunting Idle

Car has done 93k miles now, gave it a thrashing the other day and when I got home the oil temp did not fall and the engine was idling high. I initially thought this was some sort of cooldown cycle but then it started hunting and then fell into limp mode. Scanned it and got; P2279 Intake air system leak and P0507 Idle Control System RPM - High. This pointed at the PCV system and after watching this:
and carrying out the blow test on the breather hoses, it looked like i needed to replace them. I had been experiencing oil slowly leaking around the filler cap too which I should've sorted sooner.
  • Hose - 06M-103-210-EB £52.70
  • Turbo Pipe - 06M-129-665-AL £34.20
  • Oil Cap Seal - 06M-103-727-A £7.85
  • Oil Cap - 06M-103-485-D £9.85
  • PCV Gasket - 06M-103-517-B £27.10
  • PCV - 06M-103-515-H £84.30
Total £259.20. All parts from Audi UK including VAT and fitted by myself. Job is very easy and doesn't take long. PCV system is easy to get to, I have a feeling Audi did this intentionally. There are also multiple updated parts in this list which demonstrates that the original parts aren't fit for purpose. You could probably get away with just doing the hoses and saving some money, but might as well do it all while it's apart.
