This morning when I started up the car, I got a blank blue MMI screen. I tried to turn off the screen using the dash button above the cupholders with no success. I turned off the car and opened the driver’s door while stopped at an intersection, hoping that would do the trick. Again no success. The radio worked and I was able to work it using the steering wheel buttons. When got to my destination, got out of the car and locked it, the screen went back to normal once I got back in and restarted the car. Anyone else have this happen to their car? It kind of freaked me out.
Not that exact thing -- but probably the best thing to have tried was forcing the MMI to reset by holding down the console volume button for 10+ seconds until it reboots

The same blue screen appeared again last night. I guess I didn't hold down the console volume button long enough. It did turn off the MMI screen after a couple of seconds. Turning the screen back on didn't fix it. I will try holding down the **** for much longer when this happens again to fully rest the MMI. .
