I have recently purchased a 2019 S4 and so far have loved everything about it, but a CEL came on after about 3 weeks of owning the car. My amazon OBD reader shows code P0299 which appears to be underboost.

I am very familiar with boosted cars, but mainly only owned early 90's Japanese cars, so troubleshooting is a little different in this case. I am looking for advise on what issues are most prominent and where to start on my search.

99% of the time I have no boost issues, I have noticed maybe 2 times where I have experience little/no boost and was unsure of why that happened, but the car would boost the next time as expected so i thought little of it until the CEL came on. What would cause an issue to happen so inconsistently? seems unlikely to be a boost/vacuum leak. Could it be a faulty/sticking DV (which I assume is the same as a BOV and boost regulator in one unit?)

Any help would be appreciated.
