Combination of lighter weight and DSG results in a solid win by the VW.
I don’t know why the mobile version won’t upload as a URL

Fun comparision from Edmunds.com as always. S4 is a big boy as it weighs 400-500 lbs more than the golf so not surprised by the results.
Everyone knows these are two different cars from very two different segments. S4 is a luxury executive compact sports sedan while the golf is a hatch. Both are fun to drive nonetheless.

Not much difference in performance. In the stop light grand prix the difference would be the weight of one passenger. The last Golf that I drove rode like a truck! I'll stay with Audi, thank you.

It was interesting, however as others have said, two very different cars, two very different demographics and purchasers. Notice however at the end, the one presenter said he's rather be seen in the Audi. I had a 2018 Golf R, and now have a 22 S4, no regrets, in fact much prefer the Audi.

Agreed, and an interesting comparison, however I would have the S3 or RS3, more of a cousin than the S4. Had a 2018 Golf R and now a 22 S4, no regrets, both are very fast as daily drivers, and being in Southern Ontario, we don't really have roads that can be called "canyon carving" roads.
