Default Service delay question

Has anyone experienced extreme service delays at the dealership? I called this week (7/21/22) to schedule my annual service + alignment. I was told since I have an S4, it requires a certain level of technician. The next available appointment was end of September - over 2 months from now. I haven’t had this happen before. I’m considering trying other dealers from where I bought. Thanks.

If I couldn't get better service than that, I would be switching dealerships or car brands. That is ridiculous!!

I just got my PODS recall done and appointments were 3-6 weeks out for ‘next available’ depending on the dealer. If you have a relationship with this dealer and they do a good job, just wait it out. If not, definitely call around you may find someone who can do it sooner. I have 5 dealers within 30 mins though, so I realize not every situation will be like mine.

My dealer is running about 4 weeks out. Loaners are now very rare.

I tried to schedule my 50k service in late May and was told the first available appointment was in September. Called my other local dealer and because someone had just cancelled their appointment, I was able to schedule for July. They also gave me an option to drop it off at the dealership and they would work me in when they could. I did this and they ended having the car for just over a week. Only loaners in my area are for people who purchased the car from that dealership.
