I have a 2018 S4 and am hoping someone can tell me what % the factory tint is on the side and back windows? Any technical reason I should not apply an aftermarket tint to these windows? Thank You.

I think the factory tint is only 5%. You should definitely tint without hesitation. I did 50% up front and 80% in the rear.

I think you mean 95%.. Tint percentages reflect the amount of light that is let through the tint. I have heard other say that the factory tint is 70% on the sides and back, while others say its 93%. Only way to tell is with a light meter on a stock car I guess.
The only problem I can see is tinting the winshield with a metallic tint may hinder the electronics mounted on the winshield, but have never heard of any issues tinting the sides and back.

Yes I was referring to light absorption in all the numbers above.
Use a ceramic tint and it won't block your radio signals.
I've seen cars with tint film on the windshield and I'm going to way it's a really bad idea. Even if it's clear. Two reasons mainly.
1. It shows dirt and fingerprints worse than glass and it's much harder to keep clean.
2. If you wear polarized sunglasses, you may see all kinds of crazy rainbows all over the place.
#2 happens a lot on the side windows, but it's a lot easier to ignore vs the windshield that you are constantly looking through.
