"Improper U turn" - what am I looking at? (Sandy PD, UT)
Does this mean points?
Can I do Traffic school?
I don't care about the fine but I'd rather not get points if I can avoid it. (I know - I should have avoided the "rather abrupt" U turn!)

That sound like a moving violation - meaning points. where was it? at an intersection? (m)
It has been a while since I got a ticket in Utah, but I believe you can go in and talk to the judge and plead guilty but request that points not be put on your record. If you haven't been in the defensive driving course in the past two years then he will allow you to attend. (I am pretty sure this is what they do in SLC, I am not so sure about Sandy.)

Hi Courtney,
Silver/Silver 6spd. Stock so far, apart from the Strat mats and V1. UUC Shifter in garage waiting for time to be available.
We're on Gracey Lane - runs south from 114th at about 1900 East.
No pics yet (some in the camera - analog). took a picture last week up in the Uintas with a part frozen lake in the background - it looked really eerie, the ice had formed almost uniform patches all over the lake. I have hopes for the picture when I get it developed.
I saw a guy driving a 1.8T north on I-215 east side then west on I-80 a few weeks ago - gave him a wave. Haven't seen any round my way yet though. I'll be looking out for you.

It was after an intersection - but not the requisite 200' after.
Also, I didn't signal for the requisite 3 seconds and she also said I should have pulled over to the right and stopped first before making the U turn to the left - never heard of that one before. However, I can't deny the 200' and 3 seconds part.
