just the key , i hate "bells & whistles" hanging on my car ignition or my pocket .. also my knee just touches the key while it's in ignition.

If that damn key/keyfob wasn't there, I'd have so much more knee room, but as it is, it sticks out ruining that whole area. It's definitely the limiting item for me to adjust my seat postition. Being tall (6'2"-6'3") doesn't bother me so much in headroom with this car, but the longer lower leg that comes along with the height puts my knee smack dab where that keyfob is. I envy the new A6 that doesn't require the key to be inserted into the ignition. I also think they angled the direction of the key on the new A6 so it interfers less even if it is inserted. Oh well. I suppose I could save myself some space by using the non-remote key, but that's just not cool, and then I'd have to carry both keys with me to get in my car.

i tried to put the key in ignition in different positions , so far the best is to put in with with the audi circles facing up..so when the ignition is on, the little ring does not touch my knee . it would be nice if it wouldn't have that spring so you can fold the key upwards (may a rubberband will do ) .
