$400 to cut out my horizontal slats and repaint the bumper, to much?
Where is it that I can get a new bumper skin for under $300? I tried through the body shop and it was $380 something.

Sounds good if you're talking about the whole bumper...
My body shop wants $350-$500 depending on how much needs to be repainted. They can try and do a partial repaint and blend for less, but a full repaint requires a lot of sanding and prep work, which is the major cost.

The whole thing, I was a little nervous when he said that he might have to....
blend the color in with my fenders if it is not right on. That is why I was leaning towards the spare skin.

I use an Audi body shop that uses 'Audi' paint from my paint code...
My paint is still in good shape since I have an underground garage so no blending would be needed for me, but a full repaint might still be required.
