Default *RS4 intake port dimensions, vs. S4 intake and head port dimensions. Here they are.

I just installed a RS4 intake today, and although I didn't have my camera, I took accurate measurments.

S4 head and intake ports. (1" x 1 5/8")

RS4 intake ports. ( 1" x 2 1/8")

So there is a big difference between them.

Okay...so what is the performance implication of the different dimensions?

Default If you'd like to sell me one, you should probably explain why I'd want one

And when it comes to mods, I've discovered that I bleed green

Default Thats a lot of material to remove... Since you have seen both do you think it would be possible to..

port the head to match the RS4 intake manifold? What was the size difference on the throttle bodies?

Default Sure, thats fine - but won't do a bit of good if you don't port match the head.

Infact, it can cause performance decrease due to the oversized ports, and air coming in colliding with the top of the head(because the intake port is smaller) and causing a lot of turbulence inside the manifold chambers.
