Default [removing ECT sensor]- sensor seems stuck, any tricks?

I removed the retaining C-clip, but the sensor won't budge, any suggestions? Do you simply pull the sensor harness up? It wont move left/right either..

The sensor should **not** be snugly fit....it should pull out with alarming ease, at least mine did.

you can use a small flat head to free the secondary clip off the wiring harness.

Are you talking about the harness or the sensor? If harness, do what Leester said.

Default Stick a flat-head in the following slot and lightly lift to free the wiring harness...

Default Angle the screw driver so that the handle is pointed up. Use leverage to lift...

the plastic clip so that it allows the harness to slide out. Picture if you will, the location where you stick the screw driver is as a hinge-point where there is a plastic edge that does not allow the clip to slide out unless you are able to lift the clip to clear the edge.

The same sort of harness is used on the sensor that resides above the TBB. You might be able to get a better sense of what I'm referring to by looking at the TBB. Try it on the TBB sensor (sorry I don't know the official name) before attacking the ECT harness. Let us know how it turns out.

I find that inserting the screwdriver and then slightly twisting it works best.
