Default 01.5 s4 boost problems

So this is my problem. My car is going into some crazy "safe mode" or "limp mode" at random times. it limits the boost to 5 psi and it also feels slower off boost. then a few minutes later it will peak at 10 and it will feel fast as it should be normally. it cant be a boost leak cause it still sometimes peaks at 7 and sometimes 10 psi. The change in boost peak is not dependant on gear or temperature or humidity or anything else that i can think of. I was at awe today about to get a chip and i was asking a guy there and he said it might have to do with a tiny leak in one of the hoses somewhere. I'm going back tomorrow to get the chip but i dont want there to be a leak in some hose and have it completely blow when its chipped. can someone explain the weird inconsistancy of boost that i am experiencing and would it be safe to chip it? I have evoms intake asp exhaust and forge DV's but i've had this boost problem since it was stock

You should find your boost leak first. Have someone pressure test it for you.

Default No, block 115 shows requested boost vs actual boost. Good for looking for boost leaks. Bye the..

way, you can get codes that show up with no check engine light.
