If it's a 9/01 build, it's an '02.

How do you know the exact build date? All I know is my car's month.

No, mine is a MY2002 (ordered from dealer) with a build date of 06/01.

If you can get a picture of the card on the driver's door jamb, it will tell you the build date.

Default This is correct; from someone who ordered one of the last ones built. Production of the '02's
stopped in late July of '01. IIRC, the '02's (B5 S4 only here) were built during may, June and July of '01.
