This has now happened twice since the temps have increased in Chicagoland. The first time Sal@Zaino recommended 3M Perfect-it Foam polishing pad glaze used by hand to get out the waterspots. Worked well, but it stripped off the Zaino in the process. Put another 5 coats of Zaino on the hood. More rain has dried on the car, now numerous waterspots that will not come out with Z-7 wash, white vinegar, clay or Z-6 have cropped up. Sal said that pollen on the car will turn acidic when moistened with rain, and combined with the underhood heat, the black paint and the sun make for a hostile environment for any polish or wax. The roof is not as affected by waterspots. Anyone else having this problem with Zaino? The car glows with a superb gloss that is second to none, but I may have to use something else on the hood. Any thoughts? I have applied the Zaino by the book. Getting a bit tired of applying all those coats of Zaino and still getting waterspots in it. Perhaps this situation is Zaino's Achilles heel. Thanks!

what ever it is that is eating your paint. here in texas the bonnet on my Porsche hit 234 deg. F. and then it rained. No problems though. The only other thought is that there is something that is in your paint befor you apply the Zaino. you might want to try something like 3M wax remover paint prep autopaint supply type place. be careful with this stuff it is a solvent... then wash with P21 paintwork cleaner imediatly after then wax it.
