Default 120K for a 2000 RS4 from Germany (~50000 miles) what do you think?

Guys, need some help. Friend of mine is selling his RS4 in Germany. He is the first owner and he is asking for 120k US... I really love that car, but for 120K, I can get a 911 turbo. Really need some suggestions. What do you think? I know the car is in really good shape and he has been taken really good car of it. Oh.. color is silver. I have asked the DMV and some dealer, it will cost me around 4k to modify the car before it can be registrated

Default Yep, but the waiting period is about 2 years and he did have some Sportec modifications.

I think he wants to make some money on that car too.

Default don't bother. get the porsche 996tt.

he is ripping you off at 120k. why not get it grey market.. didn't some one import it .. go to rs4.org.. ask people there. i think the added cost of importing one say from germany with low mileage is extra 20k(to import and modify from german).. you should not have to pay 120k.

Default Wait a minute. The earliest production RS4s are 2001 year models, as best as I can tell..

New ones are still available in Europe from dealers for ~$75,000 USD, OR LESS. Some friend you've got there!

"<i>I think he wants to make some money on that car too</i>." <b>You, sir, are the King of Understatement!</b>

Go here and find one for sale. <a href="http://193.114.47.4/aspforums/default.asp">RS4 Org</a>

A couple of months ago, there was a glut of RS4s for sale, and no waiting list! <a href="http://193.114.47.4/aspforums/topic.asp?topic_id=1066&forum_id=20&Topic_Title=Ne w+RS4+%2D+For+Sale&forum_title=For+Sale+%2F+Wanted &M=True&S=True">But not for $120,000.00 USD!</a>

More current info on pricing of the Audi RS4 is <a href="http://193.114.47.4/aspforums/topic.asp?topic_id=1300&forum_id=8&Topic_Title=RS4 +8%2D2000%2C+What+to+pay%3F&forum_title=RS+cars&M= False&S=True">HERE</a>

Methinks someone's blowing smoke.

Not a reasonable price. Find an RS2 instead or buy a Porsche
