available appointment is mid September. By then I'll probably be at ~18k and they said the warranty covers up to 2500mi over (therefore 17.5k). I ramble...
What are peoples experience with Carlsen? I bought and went to Andersen for my 8k mi service.

Peter the service consultant is very good at keeping you apprised of status, issues, etc. They got me a loaner car immediately when they verified my transmission problem.
Only negative is they were out of transmission fluid, once I decided to take the car back. I decided to drive the car until the transmission came in (the 1st gear synchro is the problem- still driveable). Took an extra day for them to get the fluid back in the car.

Go to Rector. They typically only require 2 weeks notice to schedule a service. Many more bays than Carlsen, and I think more than AB.
Anderson-Biehl SUCKS!!! I had scheduled a service with them when I was getting close to 20K. OK? So, 4 weeks later, with me getting to 21K, they inform me that, altho' my name was in the computer, they had no record of my appointment !!! (i was verifying the appt)
Ok, so I asked them what were they going to do, as it was not my fault my appt was misplaced.
"I'm sorry, sir, we can't help you - perhaps you'd like to schedule another appt?"
"But my mileage will be over 23k by the time you get to me in 6 weeks!"
"(silence) I'm sorry sir, would you like to talk to the service advisor?"
"Fine. (I was on hold for 5 minutes.)"
"And who are you waiting for, sir?" (the same woman!)
"Would you like to leave a voice message for him?"
Finally I told her that she could tell the service manager to contact ME, and if he did not rectify the situation I would not either service my car there, or purchase any cars from them.
End of story. I went to Rector, and they fit me in 2 weeks. Talk to Andrea ("Andy") in Service. She's great, and very punctual about notifying customers regarding their cars.
Oh, and another thing, Anderson-Biel's service manager never called back.
Your mileage may vary, of course.

Anderson Behl is busy...no debate there....but, I have had very acceptable service from George Demar...and Pete Smith (the Director of Parts & Service). Between Carlsen and Anderson Behl...I recommend Anderson Behl. Rector, for me, is too far to drive for service.
Pete is actually a real nice guy...call him and talk to him...he will listen and act.<p><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/AudiWorldPics/2000/steveshsig1.gif" border="0">
