16486 P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circ Low Input, no CEL, new APR Stage 3 MAF...
car misfires/stumbles, after sitting hot...goes away after running a while, stock and stage 3 modes...any ideas? seen in the forum here some are replacing the MAF but I suspect something else - MAF plug conversion and connections?...spark plug(s)?...coil pack(s)?...O2 sensor?...Easter Egging here...the heat diagnosis sitting may be bad...though an open hood and fan after running seems to keep symptoms for reoccurring ...<scratching head> TIA

If you swapped from a Hitachi did you check the pin orientation?

Likely an air leak or MAF wiring short. With it idling, wiggle the accordian hose and see if
it chokes/stumbles. Do that on all the vac lines you can get to. Likely have an air leak after the MAF sensor somewhere, suction leak. If you're a M/T box did you cut in the brake booster/pcv valve on the RS4 accordian?

tks Hal...just wiggled the MAF wiring before I came in...more
hopefully it will START in the morning!... will follow up and see...not sure about cutting in the brake booster/pcv valve...lost me. Can you elaborate? Curious it's only after sitting hot... that consistent with your troubleshooting? tks

Well, had an ABS/ESP light Sat morning, low MAF signal or some other DTC relating to MAF...
and I've been chasing an air leak under boost for a few weeks. Fixed my N249/bpv circuit two weekends ago(rotten hose) and found an air leak at the RS4-Y/accordian where the clamp was not tight enough... wiggling the accordian at idle caused it to stumble. When its hot the plastic and other parts expand some... makes leaks apparent/worse. Mine had stumbled a time or two on a hot restart as well.
