Default Here's what it means in english...
There are two potentimeters on the throttle, it's a redunant setup, if one is supplying more or less resistance then other you get this error. One seems out of range so it's probably a short. Take it to dealer, they'll fix it. Surprised you didn't get an EPC light as well

My dealer says they have been getting many, but did not know what the cause was, so I am trying to nail it down for them to make my life easier.

Default Yeah they'll most likey replace the throttle acuatator..
It'll be fine, not a major repair by any means. Good luck though
