Default Well, both cars are tons of fun...I love our P-car as well,

but with the S4 we upgraded to MTM K04 kit with RS4 intercoolers AND added intercooler sprayers to combat the heat. Like I said the 911 is a blast (especially to listen to the GHL exhaust)but it is easy prey....

Default At least on the old cars, things like heat, AC and stuff like that really add up.

A friends's 911 of similar vintage as mine (a '69) set up generally the way mine is came in just under 2000lbs. I figure mine is about 50lbs heavier because of my heavier seat rails and about 14lbs of sound padding I've got in it.

Jyoteen makes a good point, though. Porsche's published weights, at least in recent years, has been for a 100% stripped model, with add lightweight options added. I'm not sure how many actually come in at that weight. I'm sure most end up 100-200lbs heavier when all is said and done.

Yep, the 2002+ 996s gained a little weight, and they are right at 3000lbs
