Well, I can't say that I disagree with you on this point, but from what I can tell, this was an honest mistake. Considering the amount of effort that has alreday gone into it, the only classy thing to do is back off and let bygones be bygones. :-)
I also think that 1bads4 should also apologize for using the image without permission. I would hope that he already has, but if he hasn't, then that is not cool.

It's very simple Chris: courtesy and respect for others...
...if some one doesn't want you to use a picture of their car, you shouldn't, just common courtesy.
I thought you Brits knew all about that. :-P

i'm as anti-ip as the next guy, but chris, you are on the wrong track.
we are talking about common courtesy; somebody you know (and presumably care about and respect) asks you to do something minor as a consideration.
I'm ready to say FU to macrovision and disney at the drop of a hat, but i would bend over backwards for a friend...

here's the deal...
I did'nt know it was her car/photo - the job got done with respect - a mistake was made and she got bent out of shape - asking for money for this when the job as allready been done (well over 80% changed from here photo) - I came in late to the post and saw nothing but crap! - she was being petty and silly - it's done now - it can also be used if 1bads4 wants to use it - it's perfectly legal and was not done to hurt her in any kind of way
she should respect that

no, honestly i do get it, and fwiw i think she *is* being petty
but thats not the point. She asked (ok, maybe not very nicely and in a somewhat heavy handed fashion) and if you respect her, you should take that into account

well maybe I don't respect the way she handled it...
I respect "now" the fact it's her photo - but I've changed it so much this should not be that much of a problem - what's done it done - let's move on
