Default 1st Gear Issues

Ok, I own a 2000 stage III S4 and am having issues w/ my takeoffs from a dead stop. If i were to hit it and than let the clutch out, the car will rev, without moving, into the high RPMs, as if it were in neutral. Than, after letting go of the pedal, the RPMs will settle down, and than give me a massive pickup, but by that time I have already missed the boat. I'm thinking this might just be because I suck at driving, but I'm pretty sure its not supposed to do that. Anyone able to figure this one out?

Default lol, i think he is launching, but not realizing that he is. (even though he is trying to) WTF?

Eric, just let the clutch out all the way very swiftly, and quick, but try not to completly sidestep it or dump it.

Do you get the smell of frying clutch each time you do this? ;-)

Default You need to give more info..

What type of clutch?
How many miles on it?
Were you ever able to launch correctly?
Are you slipping in higher gears?
Are u Holding or Bouncing the Rpm's just before you let off the clutch?
at what Rpm are you launching it at?
and are you dumping the clutch?

U got to provide a lil more info if u want these guys to help....Problem could be w/ the clutch itself or your just a ****ty driver that needs to start practicing at lower Rpms before you try jumping off the line @ 4k+

Default This is a joke right ??

I hit it..then let the clutch out... revs like its in neutral ??

Try to let the clutch out, THEN hit it..works wonders.

I take it you bought the car, already stage III ?

Buy an automatic Chevy Cavalier. You won't even notice a difference between it and your S4.
