1st Gear Issues

I'd Figure he'd complain about slipping in high gears...My clutch is toast and it still launchs hard
But as soon as i give throttle in higher gears it starts to slip at around 3000Rpms but i can still launch hard lol
FWIW Just dropped it off at Piggies for a Ceramic Clutch and piggie pipes

Re: 1st Gear Issues
no no no, u guys aren't exactly understanding the problem. The clutch is new RS4. I'm not actually reving it and than letting go of the clutch, i'm balancing it moreso the other way around. It was a horrible explanation. I do get a horrible smell, and thats why I haven't done it since. I've driven other manual cars, such as my friends M5 and the takeoff is much smoother. Like i said, the car revs and goes nowhere. I'm not launching and not realizing it. It honestly will just sit there reving with the clutch fully out, in first gear, pedal down. I'm a newbie to the forum, this is a hard one to explain, sorry. thx.

if it slips like a toasted clutch and smells like a toasted clutch, my guess is its a toasted clutch
as yrk2.7T already siad you need to break a new clutch in before you beat on it to allow the materials to "get aquainted" with the flywheel/PP. if you didnt beak it in and just romped on it right out of the box... im sorry to say you "may" have just ruined you new clutch, i put "may" in quotes because there are occasions where it will start to grab again after a little bit of normal driving... i hope it works out for you
