2.8 Cams worth it for a well tuned stage 3+?

I see a lot of GT guys going with 2.8 heads & cams, would the cams alone be worth it on my well tuned stage 3+ with custom tune? What would the trade offs be like? I know you may lose some low end, but how much? And how much mid or top end gain? What would the effects be like? And would it be best to use only the intake or only the exhaust cams or anything like that?
Thanks

I have full heads with bad valves. From what I heard, the heads are a waste on a K04 car, but great on a GT car. The cams can be put in much easier than swapping the head. So the most I would do is the cams since its a much easier install & the motor can stay in.

Sorry I missed the follow up. I ment Piggie/Mike/Mike@vast. Link to post inside.

Not sure how worthwhile it is. You could try asking at QW as well.

Looked over that thread & the tests all seemed to be on K03's (and many years ago) so it would not really indicate what a stage 3 car would get out of them. Anyone have an idea what the effects would be on a K04 setup? I know there will be high rpm gains, but I am looking to see what kind of trade off there would be on the low & mid rpm power..

edit: From what I've read the cams are only good for the highend. And slightly hurt the lowend. On K04s.. the performance might just me minimal? Sorry I can't be of more help.
