Hey Endee,
We have done a few different installs of 2.8 heads and on Stage III cars, and we have found there to be about a 40-50whp gain depending on what other supporting mods were done. Here is a back to back dyno plots of a Stage III car Stock heads and cams, and then with 2.8 heads and cams(same car, same dyno 91 octane) Note the power increase with less boost. The turbos would run higher boost with the 2.8, but the charge temps were getting very high with more boost, and so is what we settled on for final boost.

all the cars we have installed 2.8 heads on are using big injectors, so even before they swapped heads there were misfires stored in the ECU, however the quality of the idle did not change with the 2.8 heads, and we have not seen any increase in misfires on cars with big injectors.

It works good but great with bigger snails.
If used, You must use the right tune or have your car cust tuned.
We do have ASP ko4/2.8 cams, file avail with dyno sheets and fats logs.
Feel free to call us.

Christian, that dyno plot actually looks really good. Question on that torque curve though- Why the big peak and why that big dip from 4200rpm on? Any solution to that?

I personally would run the 2.8 intake cam cause the ex cam is the same as the 2.7... Run RS6SS and nothing else if you wish to keep it simple no RS4 parts etc, you won't need them with the better snails.. Keep your eye out of a great group buy on RS6SS and inlets real soon

Well I just put in my K04's about a year and a half ago. So I am not looking to change turbos or drop the motor to do the whole head. Thats why my main inquiry was for the cams only..

I see a lot of GT guys going with 2.8 heads & cams, would the cams alone be worth it on my well tuned stage 3+ with custom tune? What would the trade offs be like? I know you may lose some low end, but how much? And how much mid or top end gain? What would the effects be like? And would it be best to use only the intake or only the exhaust cams or anything like that?
Thanks
Thanks
i have a set of 2.8 heads for sell

Thanks but I already have a set too. Deciding if I will use them or not. Got a deal on them I could not pass on.
So if I just used the intake cams, would that give me about the same low-mid with an increase up top? Still 2.7 exh cam & 2.7 head.
