Default I wasn't sure of the cut off date but I knew for sure that 2002 had it.

So referring to the newer style as a 2002 would not be incorrect no matter what month it was built.

Default The intake ports are large enough unless you change the lift on the cams,or change the valve size.

You will gain more flow up top by enlarging the intake ports, but you need to get additional modifications to support the porting.
