Just got a call from my dealer that my '01 is built and on the boat... Says that it should be ready to pick up in mid-late June. Anybody else hearing the same?
Should I be getting excited yet, or is this unrealistic? I have had the damn thing on order since December! Now I just gotta figure out what to do with my S6

I just reserved a 2001 at my dealer. It should be here in early July. They gave me a choice of a couple already in country or a new one. I wasn't wild about the other choices so I chose the 2001. The only difference they're aware of is a 5/50 warranty versus the 3/50. They have no brochures, pricing or equipment information. Does anyone know what other updates or changes are in store for 2001? Maybe a surprise M3-killer drivetrain?

* Base 2001 MSRP is $1K more than 2000 on the nose... but that includes ESP as a standard feature. Not bad.
* The Sport package is now a $400 option and comes with the usual alcantara furnishings, aluminum belt-line trim, and polished aluminum outside mirrors. Definitely worth it!
* Enter Casablanca white, exit Hibiscus Red.
* The only other change is that they're now calling the convenience package the premium package.
So unless you really want aluminum side mirrors and ESP, the 2000 model is the same car.
Oh, I forgot to mention... you can also opt for the RS4 380hp engine - only a $120 option - what a bargain ;o)

The other info is true and straight from my dealer's 2001 S4 pricing and options list.
