Default 2001 s4 and ipod/iphones

Hello everyone,

i just picked up a black 2001 s4 with ~110k miles. it's all stock except for some pretty dark tint. i am coming from a 92 mr2 turbo so this car is different in just about every way. So far i love it though.

Quick question for you b5 s4 people: what do you guys use for ipods/iphones? i've seen ice link and dice but i'm not trying to see if there is anything new and exciting. i'd like to be able to control the playlists and songs through the radio controls as well as charge the device at the same time and i would really like to run it to the arm rest much like gragravar did with his allroad:https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec101.shtml

Anyone here running anything similar on their S?

thanks
bret

I run Phatnoise MP3 player. Plugs into CD changer slot. STFA if you can.

Has anyone used the one from ECS that costs $179.86? Seems like it would be clean and simple.

rktskicar: Thanks i tried a search of b5 s4 ipod and came up with 10 pages of nothing to do with ipods but i will take a gander for Phatnoise.

g60swappedgti: i know there is an AUX in the symphony setup, if you do an internet search for DICE ipod they claim it works... i'm trying to find people that actually have it done though.

good point - this looks completely viable ECS tuning "OEM" ipod adapter for b5 s4

Looks workable, kinda pricey for just plugging your IPOD in. Cheaper to just use tape or FM converter. Phatnoise was a MP3 player that runs through CD changer interface with voice cues. Mounts in trunk where CD changer goes. No longer made. Ebay or used only.
