It had an obvious CELO, but it was for misfires on cylinder 4,5 & 6, and there was also a fault for EGT sensors. Monitoring the EGT's, they're supposed to be either 945 or 1045, but the drivers side one was registering all sorts of different #'s. Turns out, the MAF, EGT sensors, and a few other things are all on the same reference voltage source. When the hitachi MAF glitched, it affected the EGT sensor, and created a downward spiral. Had it been left alone, other dtc's would've also been generated, and it could really send a tech on a wild goose chase!
Now, who's car was that? ;-P

eed density. Is it normal for Hitachi MAF failures to lead to limp?? I know there haven't been a lot of Hitachi failures so I wonder?
