The 2002 A6 2.7T is going to get 270hp, wondering if the 2002 S4 would?
#2
Where did you hear this?? I have never heard of any changes to the 2.7T. Would love to think it's
true as my 2002 S4 is scheduled for shipment from the Port (I mean lockup) today, for Friday delivery. Will let everyone know what the sticker says when I lay eyes on it.

They can't "boost" sales as production is ended. The only logical reason would be to create demand
and enthusiasm for when the new ones come out in 18 months, and to get alot of press considering there is limited 2000 production. I truly doubt they would do this, but would love it as my 02 is due in the end of this week. Also, it wouldn't be difficult as the S4 Touring Car uses the EXACT same engine as the production S4, with different software, and produces over 600 hp (don't hold me to the number, I'm quoting from memory). They detuned the software some for the RS4, and lots for the regular S4. But keep in mind, the race S4 hasn't had one, not ONE engine rebuild all season, so they could pump up the horsepower in the production S4 with little concern. And with all the hype on the new M3 producing 333hp, they may have just done it. I know I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

Re: How did you get all those Mods into a car that you don't yet have?
Rear wing is being installed by dealer before delivery, and is on my order form as a dealer installed option. Stereo was in my A4, and is ready to be reinstalled in this car soon as I get it. My stereo/alarm shop also has an Alpine alarm in a box waiting to go in. My wheels are on order with the tires and will go on day after I get the car. The V1 is in a box in my house. My shop will also tint my windows for me when the do the stereo and alarm.
Technically your right, they're not on yet, but I know they will be, so rather than having a boring sig, I'm imbellishing, just a little.
